Keep every workout challenging and progressive. This won't keep you bored, and you will enjoy the fruits of your hard work.

You won't spend more time than you have to - "get the job done and get out" is a good way to keep workouts short and sweet. Having more rest periods longer than 3 minutes per set means your heart rate going down at one point making the whole session not as effective as its designed to be.

You can spend time on everything else - having a workout plan for 90 minutes or less won't create a "workout freak" in you, which might lead to overtraining and injury.


Minimize Socializing

A gym is a great way to meet new people with the same goals as yours. However, mingling and talking that results in longer rests between can lead to over rest, under training and injuries.

If you work out with a person or two, you can begin to motivate, encourage, get and share new ideas and even help one another blast through workout sticking points. The business of working out and pleasure of socialization can mix for better results.
